Cub

Cubs usually look like a mix of lion cubs, bear cubs, and puppies. Their eyes are black like that until they're about five.

Their tail scythe won't grow in until they're five as well. This process is almost exactly like teething- the cubs get irate and typically chew on the skin of the tail where the iron scythe is starting to grow. It is a harrowing time for parents because cubs can be very loud.
