The Faun from El Laberinto del Fauno (Pan's Labyrinth).

3 WEEKS I'VE BEEN WORKING ON THIS! I'm glad to be done.
The Faun is one of my favorite fictional characters because I can't identify his motives. When I first saw the movie Pan's Labyrinth, I thought he was a good guy. Now, every time I watch the movie, I become more and more convinced that his motives are not altruistic.

UPDATE: Grabbed a clearer version of my picture so you can see the detail better.

You are odd. I never trusted him, he was like a stranger offering candy. Even when she finally met her parents, he seemed a very shady character.

I trusted him, initially, because I knew it was a movie and I guessed that the faun would be a supportive character because I could tell from the beginning that the captain was the villain and that the mother was incapacitated.
But yes, I trusted the faun. I reeeaaalllly wish I knew whether he was good or evil.

I think he is an "ends justify the means" kind of person: what he does is not necessarily good in the short term, but in the long term it always will be.

I agree partly, but I don't quite believe that he's good- even in the long term. There's something in it for him; as I said before I don't think his motives are altruistic.
:iconarachnakid:
That is possible too. It's hard to tell the character of a person from just one event.
